Anti aging supplements help us to protect our body effectively from the symptoms of aging. Although we provide much attention to our skins with creams and other cosmetic therapies, it is also essential to eat a healthy, balanced diet. Antioxidants

Formation of free radicals is believed to be one of the most significant causes of aging. Antioxidants can protect the body by destroying free radicals before they can make any harm to our system. Antioxidants imply a group of organic substances including vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium and carotenoid. The most known carotenoid is beta-carotenoid. Carotenoid is available in fruits and vegetables with effervescent colors. Antioxidants have been shown to be effective in increasing the resistance power of the immune system. In addition, antioxidants are found to be beneficial in preventing the body from several degenerative diseases such as cataract and macular degeneration which are quite apparent with aging.

Herbal Supplements

Herbs can do wonder to human bodies. Several of them can also serve the purpose of being effective anti aging supplements. These may include Bilberry, Turmeric, Grape Seed and few others. The essential component of Bilberry is anthocyanosides which have several health benefits such as regeneration of rhodopsin, the purple pigment required by the rods cell in the human eyes for night vision. Additionally, anthocyanosides also function like a powerful antioxidant. Turmeric, a potent antioxidant, functions effectively as anti-tumor and anti-bacterial substance. Grape seed extracts constitute proanthocyanidins which assist in stabilizing collagen and maintaining elastin.
